Echo and The Endangered Faeces T-Shirt
Echo grew up in Southern California where her father was a hand model and her mother a key grip tuner. While in her teens, Elektra began performing in folk-pop clubs in the Victorville area. A chance meeting with Charles Nelson Reilly led to a contract with Jailbait Records. Her first album, Echo Agonistes (1975) featuring the single "When Things Go to Shit" earned reviews and received little to no airplay. Having failed to show up for a CBGB gig in 1977 where they were to open for Talking Heads, the Faeces were never heard from again. Tragically, the fate of Echo and The Endangered Faeces is still unknown to this day.
